George Allen Kelt, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Kelt of Chatfield. Entered the U.S. Army in December 1943. Stationed at Camp Blanding, Florida, where he served as Supply Sgt. until his discharge in December 1945. [1]

Wednesday at the Corley
Funeral Chapel for George
Allen Kelt, 65, of Chatfield, who
died Monday at Memorial
Hospital. The Rev. Pat Whitmore
will officiate with burial
at the Chatfield Cemetery.
He was a retired district sales
manager for Olin Chemical Co.,
a member of the Chatfield
Methodist Church, a veteran of
World War II and a native of
New Mexico.
Survivors include his widow,
of Chatfield; one son, George A.
Kelt Jr. of Houston; three
daughters, Mrs. Donald
Rosenfeld of Houston and Mrs.Waiter Fairfield and Mrs.
Bobby Nelson, both of Pasadena; nine grandchildren;
one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Phillips of
Chandler and Mrs. Wendell Whitfield of Dallas; and one
brother, J.J, Kelt Jr. of Huntsville,
Ala. Pallbearers will be Gerald
Wakefield, Archie Pittman,
Fred N. Stewart, Marion
Bozarth, John Andrew Gaines
and Wayne Burkhalter.
