Services Friday

Funeral services for Alvin O. Martin, 40. Corpus Christi, who died Tuesday night of a heart attack while at work for the Southwestern Oil and Refining Company, will be held from the Fifth Avenue Church of Christ here Friday at 2 p. m. The body will arrive here Thursday night.

The rites will be conducted by C. B. Thomas, Corpus Christi Church of Christ minister, assisted
by Claude B. Holcomb of the local church.

A native of Corsicana, Martin had resided In Corpus Christi 17 years. He was a member of the
Church of Christ and all branches of the Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife and daughter, Kay, both of Corpus Christi; mother, Mrs. J. E. Martin,
Corsicana; a brother, A. F. Martin, California; and four sisters, Mrs. S. D. Hinesley, Waco;
Mrs. John L. Sullivan, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Mrs. Floyd E. Knotts, Overton,
and Mrs. H. E, Gentsch, Gladewater. Corley will direct.
